I't Thursday!

It's Thursday..do u know where I am??...That's right, at the hair salon getting my "doo" done! Yelp, got to keep the kinks straight! I was on FB this morning..getting all of the bonus coins for FV..haha, when I noticed a post for my son..he posted that he loves me! Yes, he did! Although, I know he loves me, it just good to hear or read sometimes!

Pecan Pie

You know, lately, I have really gotten into cooking. I am really enjoying it. I have been married for 30 years and I can count the number of times I have made a pecan pie. This week along I have made 3 and they all came out perfect! I even had the nerve to make one and take it to Hazlehurst for Thanksgiving dinner! Everyone that tasted it said it was very good..YAY me!
Anyway, I made one today, so I thought I would blog it.

Thanksgiving Day 2009

This has been the BEST Thankgiving yet! I got up this morning spent some time with James down on the land in Utica, MS picking up pecans. I was so relaxing...we even ate some very sweet persimmons, if you don't know what this is, it is a very sweet high fiber fruit that grow on a tree, it's very tasty. Then I went to my mom's house in Hazlehurst..oh my what a feast she prepared for us. I am so thankful to have both my mom and dad alive and well. I am also thankful for James, Kristin and Justin for wanting to spend the day with the family. These days not many grown single children want to spend the holidays with their parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins.
But most of all I am thankful that I serve a mighty God who love and take care of me!
Oh!!!!!!!! I almost forgot! Kristin and I made our annual trek to Michaels to get the holiday price for some carts...too happy!
